Blaze - Subessen Land of Grace
WELKS 2009
Blaze was the eighth puppy born on April 7th 2006 and right from the beginning made her presence felt by both adults and her little brothers and sisters. If there was a puppy trying to escape it was Blaze. This sense of adventure and self-confidence were two of the reasons we decided to keep her - together with the fact that she liked her food - which was a real change from her mother Jess.

Blaze  certainly made her presence felt in the household – live-wire, monkey, mischief are just some of the words that have been used to describe her.

Favourite spot
She easily made friends with Bertie who breathed a big sigh of relief when he realised that only one of the puppies were staying in his house!

Blaze practised hard at ringcraft sessions and was rewarded when she entered her first show in October 2006 and qualified for Crufts 2007 on her sixth month birthday. This was at the BCC of Scotland where she was placed 3rd in minor puppy bitch. She really enjoyed her day at Crufts, entertaining the audience with her antics in the ring!! Hopefully she will have learnt more ring etiquette next time!!

Blaze's other achievements in the show ring can be found on the Blaze's achievements page

In 2009 Blaze achieved a first for the Subessen family.  She came a very creditable VHC in Under Graduate bitch at the Crufts Championship Show.  Claire showed her for the first time. (see Crufts 2009)

During the summer of '09 her appearances at shows were limited due to the new puppies that made their appearance on July 30th, her half-brothers and sisters.

However, we are hoping she will be back in the ring in the near future, in the meantime she is having fun chasing frisbees and balls.
